Welcome to the Heartland Super Quick Series Website!

Update!:

(1-06-2012) Wellsville, KS - We are very happy to announce that we have been able to secure an additional race date for a total of SEVEN with the help of Heartland Park and all of our sponsors! The schedule has been finalized and posted on the schedule tab. The double race weekend to begin the season April 28th and 29th should be a great way to get the year off to a quick start. Racers can race twice while only having the expense of towing/traveling once - and also to get ready for the Division 5 opener the following weekend in Great Bend. The list of contingency sponsors is growing as we welcome back Goodyear, Altronics, AutoMeter, and Performance2Way Communications. We have added a few new companies as well - Mullis Racecars, Overland Tow and Liquid Powdercoat Finishes have come on board with product certificates and various awards. Details can be found on the Payout/Contingency tab.

(12-19-2011) Wellsville, KS – After two successful racing seasons, the Fineline Graphics Super Quick Series presented by Driskell Racing Engines will be moving to a new venue. With the untimely and sudden closing of Kansas City International Raceway, an agreement has been reached to have the Series moved to Heartland Park Topeka. With six races already booked for the 2012 season the future for the Super Quick Series is very promising.

With the move to Heartland Park, there have been some changes to the format in hopes of improving the series and building car counts. The Series will race as one class, with an all-run maximum dial set for door cars and dragsters. Door cars will be called for eliminations first into the staging lanes and be paired up, and dragsters will follow. For more information on the format, please visit the rules page.

Another exciting change is that the Series will be competing on the quarter mile, unless it is determined that wind or weather conditions would dictate a move to an eighth mile format. This decision will be made by the track management on race day.

Mike Walker, Operations and Facilities Manager of Heartland Park is pleased that the Super Quick Series is moving to Heartland Park - "We are excited to have the caliber of racers and racecars running at HPT on a regular basis - it should be a fantastic show competing on our NHRA national event facility".

The names of racers that compete in the Series are a virtual "Who's Who" in Top Sportsman and Top Dragster in NHRA Division 5 Competition - Perennial top 5 finishers in Divisional Points are regular participants.

Matt Driskell, owner of Driskell Racing Engines and series sponsor looks to the series to continue as a showcase for the quickest cars in the area, many of which are his customers. “We are glad the Series that started a couple of years ago will continue at Heartland Park –We build many of the engines that compete in the series and this gives us the opportunity to have a platform to showcase them. Being an engine builder and also a competitor having this series at HPT will give us the chance to race with the best racers in the Midwest, without the expense and travel for other alternatives.”

Last year’s champ Matt Bryson is looking forward to 2012 – “With the closing of KCIR, our future racing plans looked pretty bleak without major travel and expense associated with racing at this level. With Fineline and Driskell Racing Engines stepping up to find a place to continue a great series that we have enjoyed for the last couple of years, I couldn’t be happier.”

Contingency sponsors and schedules will be listed as they are finalized.
